A spectacular home to entertainment and the arts
There's a wealth of activity under one roof at The Lowry.
A magnificent building alongside Salford Quays, inside you will find two stunning theatres alongside galleries showcasing artists of local, national and international renown.
The Lyric (the largest stage in England outside London) and the more intimate Quays, offer a variety of performance from ballet, drama, opera, comedy music and family entertainment. The Lowry Galleries showcase changing exhibitions by one of Britain's best loved artists, LS Lowry, as well as paintings, sculpture and photography from around the world.
With cafés, a restaurant and gift shops all set against spectacular waterside views, there is something for everyone at The Lowry.
For families, kids will love The Lowry, with its bright orange staircases, sloping blue floors and purple and glass walls but it also has lots of secret corners waiting to be discovered. With baby-changing, bottle and food-warming facilities, pushchair access, as well as gifts which will appeal to younger visitors in the shop - The Lowry caters for all your family needs.
There are plenty of free activities available throughout the year in the Galleries. Have fun with Jack's Activity Packs featuring Jack the Dog, The Lowry's very own family mascot. You can also become an Art Detective, and enjoy the Family Corner, a dedicated space for the under 5's.
Children's meals and lunch boxes come with a free Jack's Colouring Pack to keep the whole family amused while you are eating, so why not make a whole day of it?
