As spring descends on the city, so to do a number of fascinating exhibitions. From the mesmerizing stories of the cotton trade and the House of Annie Lennox to Chinese Propaganda Posters and the centenary of Alan Turing’s birth.
Manchester has a compact city centre perfect for exploring on foot. However it is still split into distinct neighbourhoods, from the bohemian Northern Quarter to the vibrant Gay Village and the architecturally-pleasing medieval quarter.
Along with world-class attractions, Manchester offers some real hidden gems. Whether it’s the recently restored Victoria Baths, a beer at the unspoiled Peveril of the Peak or the mysterious world uncovered on the Underground Manchester Tours, make sure you don’t miss them!
