Dame Sarah shares her top 5 things to do in Manchester
It is an incredible place, you can learn to ride the velodrome and you can also get onto the BMX track. There are public taster sessions virtually every day of the week all year round. I got spotted at one of these sessions.
Built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, I spent so much of my swimming career training here. It has a 50m pool, diving pit, diving boards and kiddies play pool. It's a fantastic facility with swim sessions on all the time.
It's a fantastic museum and tour. You get to see all the trophies, medals and photos. You even get to go into the players dressing room to see where their shirts are hung up before a match.
Located in the Urbis building over near The Printworks, this is a great museum for all ages to visit.
A great place to relax with really good cocktails at the end of the day. It has fantastic views all around and you can see 23 floors down to the street through the glass platform - it's not for the faint-hearted!
