Heaton Park

This lovely park is great for summer evening BBQs and there's a lovely lake to walk around. It's easy to access from the city centre on the Metrolink. More info


Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI)

It's great for young people and families, plus it's free to get in. More info


The Curry Mile

Try one of the many great, established restaurants in Rusholme's Curry Mile. The area is also close to the cosmopolitan suburb of Didsbury which also has lots of great bars and restaurants. More info


IWM North

Located at The Quays, the museum is great for the family. The whole area is a great day out as there is plenty going on at The Quays: the new Coronation Street set is based there, it's home to the BBC and the Lowry Theatre, plus you can get there on the Metrolink. More info
