Nick Coppack's Top 5

Fresh from writing about the performances of the Manchester United squad, Nick talks us through his favourite ways to enjoy Manchester.

1.

Cornerhouse

A brilliant place to hang out. Go to the cinema, look around the gallery and sit in the window of the café and watch the world go by.

2.

Barbakan Deli, Chorlton

The bread, meats and cheeses they sell there are just wonderful - you can find anything there. Check out the outdoor sausage pan at weekends.

3.

Bridgewater Canal

Cycle from the city centre to Altrincham and enjoy the great scenery. There's even a few canalside pubs to stop at to quench your thirst.

4.

Fletcher Moss Park, Didsbury

A oasis of rock pools, flowers and trees. A great place for a picnic with friends.

5.

National Football Museum

A great overview of football in England and the role it plays in people's lives.
