Manchester Duck Race

Manchester is set to get quacking again with a day of family fun in Spinningfields on Good Friday.

25 March 2016

The Manchester Duck Race returns for the seventh year at Spinningfields from 11am - 4pm.

There is a whole host of activity set to take place across the area, to entertain the thousands of families that come down to watch their rubber ducks race along the Spinningfields stretch of the River Irwell.

There are 2 races to be held on the day; the family race with Ducks being able to be bought online or on the day,  and the Corporate Race in which businesses sponsor and decorate foot high rubber ducks. Participating companies are urged to be as creative and stylish as possible when decorating their ducks, without any modification to enhance the duck's performance.

All proceeds from the day will go to local children's charity Brainwave.
