i've visited midlands in 2002. I really looking forward to visit the UK again!sandeep ghodake
Sorry, but your new office in Manchester is all show and no content. You had a great office before which had a first class choice of guides, maps, leaflets etc. You also used to have a wide range of appropriate materials that customers could purchase. How much as it cost to move so far backwards? WSWill Stirrum
Hi Will We're sorry you didn't find the information centre useful. The centre was designed (from the point of view of both content and look) after much consultation and research with all the stakeholders involved, the public included. The centre reflects that feedback and has, since opening, garnered much positive feedback from far and wide. Regards StuartStuart @ visitmanchester.com
Stuart, I'm sure that all the people drinking free wine at the tax payers expense yesterday gave you great feedback. However, you are ignoring a real customer. I told you that the office didn't have basic leaflets, guides or maps etc and you decided to ignore me. The previous office was first class and should have been your starting point. My visit yesterday was just a waste of time. I can't see it improving unless you listen to your real customers and not just wine drinkers. Will Stirrum

The manchester visitors magazine looks pretty lame compared to what other city's are publishing (eg Liverpool) . Come on Manchester we ARE a world class city we need to up our game. Lame articles on steam trains and snogging lesbians isn't enough. This is 2011 not 1983.John Hird
I'm a wheelchair user and I looked on this site for guidance on things I could do if I visited Manchester for a short break: places to walk, accessible attractions etc. But whereas many travel sites are helpful in that respect, I couldn't find a single reference to anything or anywhere that was accessible to me on visitmanchester, so I don't think Manchester will be a good place to visit.Roy Slater
I agree with Will. We last visited Manchester a couple of years ago and made full use of the 'old' Tourist Information Centre. We had a return visit yesterday and we were so disappointed at the 'new' TIC. It was difficult to find the required information and what foreign tourists must make of it I dread to think. We thought it was a temporary office as it was so sparse, however looking at the website it appears it is a permanent fixture. On a positive note the free map of Manchester was very useful but the interactive maps were not terribly helpful to a visitor - we weren't quite sure what they were trying to achieve.Judith Clark
Found the website unfriendly. All that flicking up and down - got a headache! Do you have a brochure?F Wintle
