Greater Manchester Fringe Festival
The fifth Greater Manchester Fringe Festival takes place this summer with 108 alternative and innovative shows over 38 days at 30 different venues including Albert Square, Ancoats, Canal Street, Chorlton, Northern Quarter, Tameside, Saddleworth, Salford, and Whitefield.
There are more than 50 comedy shows - including Robin Ince from the Rose d'Or and Sony Gold award winning Infinite Monkey Cage - plus 43 plays, two free Write for the Stage workshops and four family events.
Aspiring producers can find out how to put on a show for future fringes at the Studio Salford Write for the Stage Workshops on Saturday 16 July at 3pm with a session for writers at 4.30pm. Past participants have had work published and there is a publications launch on Saturday 2 July. Supported by Arts Council England and these events at the King's Arms are free to attend.
Greater Manchester Fringe kicks off on Friday 24 June with Fast Fringe at The Dancehouse in Manchester - 24 up-and-coming acts that are showcasing their work from Greater Manchester and Edinburgh Fringes, introduced by patron Justin Moorhouse.
