Manchester Sightseeing Bus Tours

Take an entertaining and informative tour on an open-top bus, to visit the main sites in the city centre as well as the surrounding districts.

18 April - 30 September 2015

Manchester has long paved the way, not just in the UK but also worldwide.  The world's first industrial city is the home of many innovations and radical ideas, of great football and music, and has a wonderful variety of architectural styles.

A professionally qualified, experienced, local provided by Manchester Guided Tours will guide you around the sights over 2 hours, providing full commentary in English.

See the world's first passenger railway station in Castlefield and the University district, where the atom was first split and the world's first programmable computer was created.  For some a highlight will be seeing where the famous football teams play - Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium, and the Etihad stadium of Manchester City.

The city has a great mixture of Victorian buildings and modern, bold architecture; the beautiful old central warehouses, the immense cotton mills of Ancoats and the neo-Gothic Town Hall (one of the most important UK buildings of its era).  You also visit the ultra modern, regenerated area of Salford Quays - the location of MediaCityUK, the amazing Imperial War Museum North, The Lowry arts complex and the new location for Coronation Street.

Tours usually run on Saturdays only at 10.30am and 1.30pm.  To check times and dates and to make a reservation please see: manchesterbustours.co.uk  or phone 0800 288 8746.
