An old vicarage, squashed in between Shell Chemicals and Air Products is not the most hospitable place but this 7.5 acre site provides an oasis of colour and contrast to the monolithic structures on either side. The gardens extend to over 5 acres with rolling lawns leading to formal gardens with island display beds. Informal areas of shrub planting mixed with herbaceous perennials. Over two acres of woodlands intercrossed by gravel pathways offering easy access to planted areas including ponds, streams and bog planting. Should you wish to have a guided tour we offer a free lighthearted tour during the summer on Sunday afternoon. Commencing at the coffee shop at 14.30 and lasting approximately 50 minutes, you will only have time to see part of the gardens, but what you will see will be of particular interest for the time of year. Tailored tours available for groups & societies.
