Village Restaurant & Sheeshah Lounge

The Village Restaurant prides itself on authentic food from Pakistan. It perhaps has a tendency to be more "Lahore" based. The restaurant attempts to set an extremely huge standard using only the best spices and fresh meats etc. All the food is prepared by experienced and talented chefs supervised by the "King of Chefs", Ashraf. It was the owners "vision" to open a "traditional" eaterie as one of the partners is the old-timer Ashraf who opened his first restaurant on the Curry Mile as far back as 1979 and he was one of the pioneers of the curry revolution in Manchester. In those days Ashraf prided himself on cooking only authentic Pakistani cuisine and many will recall him standing at the front of his "Shezan" restaurant cooking Kharia Ghost on a large handi in front of his eager and hungry customers.
