  1. Greens

Simon Rimmer’s restaurant is a well-loved establishment for veggies and non-veggies. It’s a great venue for celebrations and when you fancy a treat. One of my favourite dishes to get stuck into is the deep-fried oyster mushrooms served with pancake, spring onion, cucumber, pickled ginger salad and plum sauce. More info.

  1. Sanskruti

Sanskruti is a gem tucked away in South Manchester and is a must for lovers of authentic Indian cuisine. All the dishes are veggie or vegan and there’s so much to choose from. Whether you fancy a dosa, a kaju karela or a ringan methi the menu is full of surprises to tempt your tastebuds. It’s great value too. More info.

Next to Lily’s is their supermarket where you can buy a broad range of authentic ingredients from fresh, dried and frozen this is a must to visit. 1. Las Iguanas

Although Las Iguanas has a meat menu, it also serves Vegetarian Society Approved dishes which means they use veggie griddles, separate fryers, no gelatine, vegetable stock and vegetarian cheese. Making life easier, they have a separate veggie and vegan menu with a wide range of Mexican sides, mains and desserts. Enjoy classics such as mushroom fajitas and Epic Enchiladas, to Brazilian Moqueca a mild coconut and squash curry and a home style burrito. View the vegetarian menu here.  More info.
