City Centre Cruises offer a variety of cruises aboard the luxurious restaurant boat 'LS Lowry' discovering the waterways of Manchester and Salford. Leaving the city we can travel to Pomona and decend the lock onto The Manchester Ship Canal and River Irwell, from here you can view the various waterside developments including The Lowry, The Imperial War Museum North and the construction of 'Media City' at Salford Quays.
Our popular Sunday lunch cruises are ideal for individuals, couples and smaller family groups. Departing from Castlefield in central Manchester and then sailing along the Bridgewater Canal to the lock at Pomona. We then transit the lock down onto the Manchester Ship Canal and River Irwell from where we cruise to Salford Quays and view the spectacular scenery and developments that have taken place. These include The Lowry Complex and The Imperial War Museum (North) which are connected by the hydraulic foot bridge spanning the width of the Manchester Ship Canal. All this while enjoying a traditional Sunday lunch, freshly prepared in our galley and served onboard the LS Lowry.
