See the famous Egyptology galleries; The world of nature featuring a sperm whale skeleton, birds and live animals; objects made or used by people from different cultures and the Museum's own collections of fossils and minerals. At The Manchester Museum the world really does come to life! See the famous Egyptology galleries; the Prehistoric Life Gallery, home to Stan the T.rex; the Vivarium where you can see live reptiles and frogs as they would be in their natural habitat; Zoology collections featuring mammals and birds; and extensive ethnology collections from around the world.

In addition to its permanent collections, the Museum also has regular changing exhibitions and a great programme of family activities throughout the year.
