Clayton Hall Living History Museum

Free hands-on fun for all ages. Get in touch with the past, and see and feel what it was like to live in Victorian times, 'Upstairs' or 'Downstairs' with plenty of hands-on activities, and lots of costumes available in various sizes.

Clayton Hall is a Grade II* Listed building which stands on a Scheduled Ancient Monument  and is the only remaining moated manor house in Greater Manchester.

The Hall has links to the family of the poet, Lord Byron, and to Humphrey Chetham.  

Open days are usually on the first and third Saturday of each calendar month from 11am-4pm. Please see the website for full details of open days and special events.
