Manchester Cathedral Visitor Centre

The Cathedral Visitor Centre overlooks Manchester Cathedral and offers a unique oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city centre.  Opened by Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth in 2002 at a total cost of £2.9m, today houses:

Dedication exhibition space;

A scheduled ancient monument (the medieval Hanging Bridge dated 1421);

- St Denys' Bookshop;

- Proper Tea;

- Hollissvincent;

- The Cathedral Volunteer Programme;

- Volition;

- Two conference rooms (for hire).

The Cathedral Visitor Centre is a resource for the entire local community, with  rooms available for hire by local businesses and voluntary organisations, whilst simultaneously providing services for the Cathedral community and the Cathedral Volunteer Programme.
