On the edge of the West Pennine Moors, against the backdrop of Holcombe Hill, Ramsbottom is a thriving market town in spectacular surroundings. A blend of contemporary and traditional the town is packed with independent retailers and award winning restaurants and cafes. Featured in the Sunday Time's'Top Ten Places to Live' and runner up in 'High Street of the Year 2013', it is not surprising that it is a popular stop on the East Lancashire Steam Railway.

You will fiind whole host of independents shops selling gifts, homewares, original art works, fashion, organic beauty treats, antiques and vintage, all offering great service and that personal touch. There is a regular Saturday Market and monthly Artisan and Vintage Markets.

An ever growing programme of events includes the award winning Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival (the weekend before Easter) and the famous World Black Pudding Throwing Championships which is held each September. Ramsbottom also has a starring role in the East Lancashire Railway's 1940s Weekend
