Visit Woolyknit's shop and cafe in the Warth Mill in Diggle.
The newly opened cafe sells homemade local food.
The Mill was originally a woollen mill and Woolyknit are very proud to have returned the local woollen industry and related craft activities to the Warth Mill. Once inside you will discover wool in all its forms. The raw fleeces, processed wool in woollen tops for dyeing, spinning and felting through to their own range of UK made British wool yarns and other wools also manufactured locally in Yorkshire. If you prefer your woollens ready made there is a range of UK made British wool clothing at fantastic value.
To support your craft activities a comprehensive range of equipment and haberdashery is available. Hands on is very important at Woolyknit and they have a knit and natter session on a Wednesday afternoon from 2 till 5 pm and a drop in felting session 2 till 4 pm on Thursdays. Both sessions are free.
To keep crafting alive they have a programme of ongoing workshops. Children's parties, school or groups educational workshops and one to one tutorials are also available.
The current list of workshops is available to book online and the event information can be found under the "What’s on" section.
It's a beautiful walk along the Huddersfield canal or the 184 bus stops outside the Mill. Ample free parking is also available and you can now park at the back of the mill complex and enter the cafe from the canal side.
