Health walks are short organised walks, often led by trained volunteers from the local community. Designed with health in mind they can improve both physical and mental health by offering a safe, relaxed and sociable atmosphere in which to walk. Salford Community Leisure’s Health Walk Scheme forms part of a national programme to help encourage and support people to become more physically active to improve their health. There are regular Health Walks happening in Irlam, Boothstown, Swinton, Salford, Worsley, Walkden, Monton, Ordsall and Langworthy. Health Walks at Clifton Country Park, Clifton every Thursday 10.15 – 11.30am Health Walks at Buile Hill Park, Salford every Tuesday 10.00-11.00am meet at the picnic bench on the main drive Health Walks at Victoria Park, Swinton every Friday 11.00am-12noon Health Walks at Blackleach Country Park every Thursday 10.00-11.00am
