Italian Restaurants in Manchester

Manchester has had an Italian community from the nineteenth century when many Italians moved to Manchester from north-western and southern Italy. It's no surprise then that Manchester's Italian restaurants are many and 'molto buoni'.

Manchester city centre and the surrounding areas have the usual selection of chain Italian restaurants, like Pizza ExpressZizzi, so you can always be gauranteed a good meal at great value.

The independant restaurant scene is flourishing with several Italian restaurants consistently topping the 'best of' lists. Some of the highlights are , inspired by the laid back Italian eateries found dotting the streets of Naples, Don Giovanni, Manchester's oldest independently owned Italian restaurant and, of course, the famous Rosso, set in a Grade II listed building at the top of Manchester's prestigious King Street.
