Autumn is now upon us; the clocks have changed and the leaves are starting to fall. Which can only mean one thing, Bonfire Night is around the corner. If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids to see some fantastic fireworks displays or to meet some friends to enjoy the big bonfire around Greater Manchester, check these out:
1. Freight Island Bonfire Weekend, Manchester
Spanning the whole weekend across 3 sessions, Freight Island is hosting a memorable fireworks display to light up the sky above Mayfield Park.
It features an enchanting Fire Garden to explore next door at Mayfield Park, made in collaboration with Walk The Plank. There will be flame-filled paths, fantastic metal flowers, flaming flower boxes, and spectacular sculptural trees.
On Saturday, 4 November the event opens at 5.30 pm, with the show starting at 6.30 pm; the later session on Saturday opens at 7.30 pm, with the show starting at 8.30 pm. The final session on Sunday, 5 November opens at 6 pm, with the show starting at 7 pm.
Tickets to the Fireworks & Fire Garden at Mayfield Park are priced at £12 for adults, £8 for kids (aged 3-16) and free under 2s. Family tickets are available (2 adults and 2 kids) for £35. Tickets here.
2. Woodford Community Centre, Stockport
If you're looking for a fantastic evening for Bonfire night in Stockport, the Woodford Community Centre is a popular destination that tailors to families and friends alike. Including a separate children’s firework display as well as an impressive fireworks show, fun fairground rides, hot food stalls, and even a big bonfire.
The gates open at 6 pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30 pm. The children’s display begins at 7 pm and the main display will be at 8.00 pm. The event closes at 9 pm.
Tickets are available online - £10 for adults (16yrs +), £5 for under 16yrs, and family tickets (2 Adults and 3 under 16s) are available for £30.

3. Bowdon Cricket, Hockey and Squash Club, Altrincham
For over 50 years, Bowdon Cricket, Hockey, and Squash Club has hosted a memorable fireworks and bonfire display to celebrate Bonfire Night and 2023 is no exception. The event will feature a number of bars and food stalls, carnival rides, and three separate fireworks displays. The first display at 7 pm will be geared towards our younger audiences, whilst a second one at 8 pm and the grand finale at 8.45 pm will be a lot more grandiose.
Gates open at 6 pm, with the bonfire being lit right after the children’s fireworks display at 7.20 pm.

4. Denton Golf Club, Audenshaw
In Audenshaw, Denton Golf Club is hosting a Bonfire Night extravaganza. Including an enchanted castle, fire engine, and even a scavenger hunt.. perfect for children and families looking for something fun this weekend.
Gates open at 5.30 pm with a mini display taking place at 7.30 pm and the main display taking place at 8.30 pm.

5. Bolton School, Bolton
The GD Parent's Association is bringing back its famous Bolton School Fireworks Display for 2023. This year, the evening will be Sci-fi themed with a fireworks display from Titanium. Included in the event are food and game stalls and even a raffle.
Gates will open at 4 pm and will close at 7 pm. Adults can get a ticket for £10 while children aged six to 18 will cost £6 for a ticket.

6. Roe Green Cricket Club, Salford
The infamous Roe Green Cricket Club bonfire and firework display has returned! They’re back in style this year and are including two firework displays on the night as well as a variety of food and drink traders.
Gates open at 5 pm with the lighting of the bonfire commencing at 6 pm. There will be a low-noise display for the youngsters at 7 pm, with the main display starting at around 8 pm.
Tickets, which can be bought here, are priced at £9 for adults, £7 for children, and £27 for a family of four.

7. Buile Hill Park, Salford
Head to Buile Hill Park for three firework displays, with Little Sparks and Firecracker shows for young children and families and for older children who don’t like louder bangs, as well as the main display. The traditional funfair complete with smaller rides will be on site, along with food and drink vendors.
Plus don't forget to check out the glowing sculptures in the park lighting the way to our new stage area. Back for 2023 we will have Marshmallow Toasting and our amazing fire walk.
Please note there is no bonfire at Buile Hill Park this year.
8. Prince's Park, Salford
There’s fun to be had at Prince’s Park too. Head to Irlam and enjoy another amazing firework display, as well as a funfair on site and a traditional bonfire.
