In the outer reaches of our metropolitan county you’ll find glorious countryside. As well as garden centres encouraging people to ‘grow your own’, there are many farm shops and tea rooms selling locally sourced and homemade produce.

Red House Farm

Award winning tea rooms offering freshly prepared food, and the farm shop boasts an impressive array of locally grown vegetables, homemade produce, cakes, sauces, ready meals and even their own apple juice. Children’s parties a speciality.

Albion Farm Shop

A family run farm, proud to be able to support other local food and drink producers as well as selling their own free range meat and eggs directly to the public. Their cafe offers customers wonderful views across Saddleworth whilst they eat one of their famous Great British Breakfasts.

Falshaw’s Farm Shop

A fifth generation dairy farming family run this farm shop, tea room and ice cream parlour with all 30 flavours made on the premises using milk from their own cows. Their onsite butcher makes sausages and burgers, using top quality beef & lamb bred on the farm. They also sell homemade pies, hotpots, cooked meats, cheese, eggs, jam, preserves, biscuits and locally sourced seasonal fruit and vegetables.

New Street Farm Shop

A small working farm which boasts that all their produce is local and fully traceable. Fresh eggs come from hens, geese and ducks roaming in the surrounding fields. All cattle and pigs are British breeds. The farm shop also sells homemade local specialities such as Manchester tarts, Eccles cakes and oven bottom muffins.
