Local food blogger and gin aficionado Miss Pond shares her top 5 gin bars in Manchester.

Atlas Bar

Home to the most gins in Manchester city centre. Atlas is a must for any gin fan seeking something they’ve never tried before or the newbie looking to learn about gins. Not only stocked with UK gins, there are also options from countries such as Canada, Australia and Spain. Check out the extensive ‘Gin Bible’ for recommendations.

Allotment Bar

Nestled in the Northern Quarter close to the station, Allotment is a great place for that last minute nightcap. There’s always a gin of the week on offer and the gins are matched with the right fresh garnishes. Enjoy whilst sat on a picnic bench in this garden themed bar.

Mr Cooper's House and Garden

Based in the Midland Hotel, this wonderful bar offers some stunning and very clever cocktails; the Starman is a winner when it comes to gin. This is another bar that offers an extensive gin menu with a range of tonics and garnishes. Come here for a very swanky date night with a loved one.

The mezzanine bar at Gorilla hosts their Gin Parlour, a den dedicated to the consumption of gin. Stocked with the best gins from around the world; small batch, hand crafted distillations and a specialist cocktail list. The Gin Parlour cocktail list explores classic cocktails and a dedicated martini list. Gorilla is a real treat for any gin lover.

The gin selection is almost as extensive as the wine list at this champagne bar, situated in the Great Northern complex. Many of the up market specialist gins are available at this bar, with some well-curated cocktails. Cosy up in the candle light for a wonderful evening of gin.
