In What's on

The Great Northern is the perfect destination to keep the little ones entertained this half term. From a state-of-the-art multiplex cinema to Manchester’s trendiest bowling alley, and plenty of food options to keep them fuelled in between.

Kick-start the day with a Home Sweet Home breakfast – but rest assured, served until 3pm there’s no need to skip on the crucial half term lie in. All priced between £4-£4.50 let the kids take their pick from a full brekkie, dippy eggs or a well-deserved treat of fluffy oreo pancakes.

Fuelled and ready to rumble, on to All Star Lanes, here, let the kids burn off steam or battle out those sibling rivalries. For just £15 per child, including a game of bowling, kids main, soft drink and choice of dessert or shake, it’s good for the pocket too.

Fear not, even the fussiest of eaters are catered for on this saver deal, from mini mezze and penne pasta to good old cheeseburger and fries, topped off with a chocolate brownie, ice cream or milkshake for good measure.

Don’t draw the curtains on the big day out just yet. Head to AMC Cinema where family packages are available all day everyday, starting from just £13.50 and available for families of 3, 4 or 5. Here you can witness the world of lego and superheroes collide with the must-see The Lego Batman Movie.

For early birds, tickets are just £4.50 if you catch a blockbuster before midday, and if you’re sending the teens out, so you can catch a well-deserved break, it’s just £10 for two over the half term.

Even save on parking at the Car Park B, one of the NCP Great Northern car parks, with an unheard of £2 for 4 hours in the city centre, just validate your ticket in the cinema.

And, then you just won’t be able to say no to the final treat of the day. It’s just £5 for two kids’ packs, filled with sweet or salty popcorn, a Capri Sun drink and skittles, the perfect sweet treat to round off the day.
