Adding another string to his bow, Gary Neville has announced plans to open tiki-themed hotspot, Mahiki in Manchester City Centre. The chain already holds venues in both London and Dubai, attracting a number of A-List celebrities and is set to open its doors on Central Street this Spring.

Central Bark

Manchester’s first dog café is soon to open its doors as part of the doggy day-care and grooming centre, Central Bark. Dog owners and visitors without dogs can visit the Beach Dog Café where guests can expect to find a range of American-themed goodies such as hot dogs and chocolate chip cookies, whilst four-legged friends will be served up treats from local dog treat baker, Kelly Jackson from Barking Bites.

Goose Fat and Wild Garlic

Due to open in Cutting Room Square, Goose Fat & Wild Garlic is the latest venture from the duo behind Mexica and Stage & Radio – Adam Regan and Sophie Jarvis. This latest opening will have an onsite brewery and will serve up organic and seasonal produce.

The Ivy

London celeb hangout has confirmed plans of a Manchester Opening in Spinningfields due to open this winter. The restaurant will feature an all-day dining menu and will be open seven days a week.

Mackie Mayor – Manchester Market Hall

The ever popular Altrincham Market is set to open a second site on Swan Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, in the old Grade II listed Mackie Mayor building. The new Northern Quarter development is expected to bring all of the goodness of Altrincham Market along with it, with current traders such as Tender Cow, Honest Crust, Katie’s Cakes and Blackjack Brewery proposing to expand their operations to the new site.

Dirty Martini

London-based cocktail chain, Dirty Martini are set to open a Manchester-site at their newly acquired, three-floor space on Deansgate. This will be the group’s tenth site in its portfolio, and it renowned for its bespoke range of Martinis, cocktails and mint interiors.

Proove Pizza

Sheffield-based pizza perfectionists, Proove Pizza have very recently opened its doors on Burton Road in West Didsbury. Serving wood fired pizza and a selection of Italian deep-fried specialities, Proove Pizza has already made a name for itself after serving up hearty Italian food at Manchester Food and Drink Festival last year.

Roxy Ballroom

Due to open on Saturday 29th April, Roxy Ballroom having already succeeded in Leeds, Liverpool and Huddersfield will set up shop on Deansgate – above La Tasca. As well as more ping pong, pool and beer pong fun than you could shake a stick at, Roxy Ballroom will also serve a menu of pizza, burgers and flatbreads until 10pm daily.

The Botanist Didsbury

Replacing Wetherspoons on School Lane in Didsbury, The Botanist brings its botanical cocktail list and interiors to the leafy Greater Manchester suburb this week. As well as an impressive stock of over 80 beers from around the world behind the bar, the upstairs section houses a main restaurant area. Opens April 3.
