From Jazz music to Clownfest, there's plenty to do in the region this weekend.

1. One Big Summer Weekend

School’s (almost) out for the summer, and to mark the start of the holidays we’re delighted to welcome One Big Summer Weekend into Manchester. For three days (28 Jul to 30 Jul), the city centre will be awash with summer fun, thanks to a rather fabulous mash-up of the Manchester Picnic, Manchester Jazz Festival, and, for the first time ever, Clownfest.

2. Comic-Con

If you love films, TV, comics, gaming, anime, or cosplay then you won't want to miss out on MCM Manchester Comic Con, returning this weekend. The team behind UK & Ireland’s biggest modern pop culture shows transform Manchester Central into a celebration of all things geeky.

3. Festwich

The UK's biggest free tribute festival comes to St. Mary’s Park in Prestwich.

4. Didsbury Makers Market

The Makers Market is an event bringing together the finest and often award winning food, drink, art and craft producers in the area.

The event will feature specially selected specialist's, who source, grow, rear, bake, make, and create the products they sell, which ensures their goods are unique, original and designed to inspire.

5. Lancashire Lightning v Notts Outlaws

Emirates Old Trafford will be hosting its first fancy dress themed NatWest T20 Blast fixture of the summer, so make sure you bring your best outfit for what is expected to be the best dressed party in Manchester.

Also, we have something special planned this weekend. Keep your eyes on #workerbeeweekender and #cometogethermanchester on Twitter and Instagram as we bring people from around the world to show what Manchester is all about.
