He’s back!

Noel, the festive Transport for Greater Manchester elf, has returned and this year he’s got his own interactive map and fantastic festive prizes to give away.

Packed with ideas and inspiration for trips and days out, Noel’s map also contains top winter travel tips all in one place at www.tfgm.com/christmas.

Keep checking the website as Transport for Greater Manchester will be releasing a selected number of limited edition Noel the elf baubles, PLUS the chance to win up to £200 in prizes every six days in the run up to Christmas.

The exclusive Golden Noel characters, which he is hiding across Greater Manchester, will be available in the run up to Christmas.

To find one, a riddle must be solved to reveal which attraction the baubles are being stored at.  Be quick, the location will change every six days and the limited-edition baubles will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis up until Christmas Eve.

Those lucky enough to get a Golden Noel bauble can take advantage of FREE weekend family travel* until end of service on the 23rd December.

In addition to the competitions, the interactive map is a great way to plan travel around Greater Manchester.  Noel has created a series of themed routes offering something to everybody - whether it’s festive family fun, a craft ale Christmas crawl or suggestions on how to escape Christmas for a short while with his “One for The Grinches” route.  Each themed route is all easy to reach by tram, and with an off-peak day Travelcard from £5.40 you can fill your (elf!) boots this Christmas.

Winter walking routes also showcase the best of Greater Manchester for those who want to wrap up warm and travel by foot.  The web app shows how to navigate new areas where Mancunian treasures can be uncovered, and all the information can be accessed on-the-go with your smartphone.

Whether it’s fun with friends, a sneaky shop or a festive evening out, Noel’s got your journey covered.  Click through to Noel’s map to have a cracking Christmas on the go!

* A Family ticket is for group travel for up to three children, aged up to 16, accompanied by one or two adults. You can travel together on any tram, from 6pm Friday evening until the last tram on Sunday night, terms and conditions apply.
