Launched in 2011, Google Arts & Culture is an online platform that gives free access to high-resolution images of artwork  and virtual tours. During this period of isolation, it is still possible to explore some of Manchester’s cultural venues by downloading the app or visiting the website.  

In total, you will get access to over 700 items celebrating the history of Manchester delivered by Manchester’s cultural institutions and by The Museum of Youth Culture in London.  

You will be able to discover exclusive photographs of political leaders, music icons, concerts, LGBT community, and much much more.    


The Lowry 

The Lowry invites you for a virtual tour of the museum. You will be able to explore some of the exhibition rooms as well as discovering some of Laurence Stephen Lowry’s most famous industrial artworks.
