Food, drink and retail destination, Hatch are staging a weekend of LGBTQ+ activity and entertainment across the Bank Holiday weekend (29th – 31st August) in tribute to the cancelled Manchester Pride weekend.

Whilst Manchester Pride has gone online and there will be no celebrations taking place in the city centre, Hatch have created a weekend of entertainment to ensure visitors can enjoy the spirit of Pride via great live music, cabaret and drag bingo! The whole Hatch site will also be rainbow decorated for the weekend in tribute to Pride.

The full programme of activity across the weekend is below. It is all taking place on the Hatch stage, and it is free to attend.

Saturday 29th August 


A special Hatch Open Mic Night hosted by Izzie Walsh… Hatch favourite Izzie is running a special extended version of her regular acoustic sessions as she’s joined by a host of local singer/songwriter talent.

Sunday 30th August 


Banksie & Lills Drag Bingo!

An unforgettable bingo experience will be hosted by top Manchester drag queens Banksie and Lills – expect performances from the queens themselves and great prizes from Hatch and Afflecks residents. Bingo booklets will be available to buy on the door for £2, which will be donated to Pride.

Monday 31st August 

Miss Chief Cabaret

Hatch will be operating the usual safe and sociable dining experience throughout the weekend. There is no need to book but visitors will be greeted at the door. Meals and drinks from an amazing roll call of amazing street food traders can be ordered via a QR code and website and it's then delivered directly to the tables by the street food operators themselves.

It means customers have the menus from 18 different traders literally at their fingertips, with diners able to order and pay for their own bespoke feast from any of the brands on site -  whether that be a craft beer from Ol, a glass of wine from Vinyard, a legendary Chicken Parmo via Parmogeddon or sticky beef from FUKU.

The urban, independent food, drink and retail village, situated under the Mancunian Way has safely welcomed over 25,000 visitors since reopening as a contact-free dining destination on 4th July,

Hatch is an award-winning destination located under the Mancunian Way on Oxford Road. Home to over 30 independent traders who rotate frequently there are places to eat, drink and shop.
