3. Tumble down the rabbit hole at RHS Garden Bridgewater this summer and experience Wonderland. To celebrate 150 years since the publication of Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, there'll be a fun family trail across the gardens. Perhaps on your adventure, you'll discover the Cheshire Cat among the trees, or spot a table set up for a mad tea party.

4. The playful world of Looney Tunes has taken to the streets of Manchester, with a colourful, family-friendly walking tour of the iconic characters popping up around the city. Hit the streets to find all characters this summer.

5. Head to Tatton Park for a summer adventure with Percy the Park Keeper and friends! Percy needs your help on an exciting treasure hunt for you and his animal friends down at the Farm. He has lost the ingredients he needs to make his delicious breakfast! Look out for the clues, find the gold coins, and have fun learning about where his breakfast has come from on the Farm.

6. Ordsall Hall is hosting a fantastic 3-month programme of outdoor theatre in the grand setting of the spectacular Grade I Listed Manor House. Choose between The Wind in the Willows, The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny and Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf this summer.

7. Strap on your safety goggles boys and girls: Brainiac Live is back with Science’s greatest and most volatile live show. More mischievous than ever before Brainiac Live! explodes on stage and will take you on a breathless ride through the wild world of the weird and wonderful.

8. Visit Cockfields Farm Park this summer for the biggest & best dinosaur adventure in the North West! You will get a chance to meet real-life walking dinosaurs, participate in fossil excavation activities and enjoy tractor rides.

9. Join Heartbreak Productions for David Walliams' best-seller Mr Stink on the outdoor stage. Packed with fun, humour, and a heart-warming message, this touching tale provides the perfect family entertainment. 

10. Our Kids Social is packing up all of their silent disco kits, brushing off the sequins and heading to Homeground in the heart of their city! The session will include disco-themed arts and crafts – make some funky dancefloor props and festival wristbands. The party will then move to the dancefloor where you can choose which channel you want to listen to through the super special OKS silent disco headsets!


Food and Drink
 

11. Manchester Food and Drink Festival is back with a bang this year and will be taking place at Cathedral Gardens and across the city and promising to bring a much-needed celebration of the city’s famous food and drink scene.

12. Bolton’s ever-popular food and drink festival is returning this year with a great line-up of family-friendly entertainment. It will bring together local and regional chefs with live cookery demos, artisan market traders, live music and even a picnic zone.

13. Wing Festival is a celebration of the mighty chicken wing and is the world’s most popular chicken wing festival that is coming to Manchester. You can expect 70,000 wings to be served over the two days by 20 different street food traders, restaurants, and BBQ teams.

14. If pizza is more of your thing, then head to Cathedral Gardens to enjoy all things Italian at Festa Italiana. You can expect live music, outdoor cinema, cooking demonstrations and delicious food.

This summer, the estate will play host screenings of classic films, with the parkland providing a stunning backdrop, all combining to make a truly memorable open-air cinema experience.

17. The outdoor event of the year – Tatton Park Pop Up Festival is a 10-week outdoor boutique festival, offering 52 individual music and entertainment performances.
