1. Kick off 10 days of music with Manchester Jazz Festival  
 

Manchester Jazz Festival is back from Friday 19 May with 10 days of live music from some of the best northern, national and international musicians operating in the world of contemporary jazz. First staged in the summer of 1996, Manchester Jazz Festival holds the crown of being Manchester's longest-running music festival. Highlights this year include Eliades Ochoa from Buena Vista Social Club, Mica Millar, Hot 8 Brass Band and Billy Cobham. Ticket prices vary for the different events over the MJF weekend. 2. Experience the electric atmosphere of the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 
 

Be a part of the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run on Sunday 21 May and support fellow participants while enjoying the local atmosphere. Every turn is accompanied by entertainment zones that showcase the region's distinct character, making it a fun-filled and vibrant experience. The crowd support is one of the best in the world, with lively and energetic cheering, creating a party atmosphere from beginning to end. 3. Watch some of the world’s greatest squash players in action 
 

The Manchester Open is back from Wednesday 17 May with the world's top squash players competing on two all-glass courts at the National Squash Centre. British Open champion Ali Farag and World No.4 Joelle King lead the draws for the PSA World Tour action. Defending champion Joel Makin, former World Champion Tarek Momen, and France's No.1 Victor Crouin are also set to compete. Joelle King is aiming for her third Manchester Open title, while American Amanda Sobhy, 2020 champion Nour El Tayeb, and England No.1 Sarah-Jane Perry are also among the top seeds. 4. Experience the ultimate celebration of craft beer, spirits and wines 
 

Join Manchester Craft Brew Festival as they take over the iconic Victoria Warehouse for a celebration of local and national craft brewers. Expect to sample the best British craft beer from independent and microbrewers. Manchester Craft Brew Festival is much more than a journey of delightful craft beer as they’ll also be showcasing the finest craft spirits. If you prefer grapes to hops, then you're in luck as they also have a large selection of discovery wines. All paired with artisan food and amazing live music. 5. Join the Manchester Guitar Festival for a weekend of unforgettable music 
 

From Friday 19 - Sunday 21 May 2023, get ready to strum your way into the second annual Manchester Guitar Festival at the iconic Stoller Hall.
