Go and see a piece of iconic British history on display at the People’s History Museum
Excitement builds as the iconic Manchester Women's Social and Political Union banner of 1908 goes on display at the People's History Museum (PHM). Rediscovered five years ago, it joins PHM's collection, marking the centenary of women achieving the vote. The banner, dedicated to Emmeline Pankhurst and Manchester's pioneering role, will be exhibited from Wednesday 21 June, to celebrate its birthday. Preserving its legacy, the banner will also play a vital part in commemorating the centenary of all women's suffrage in 2028. Entry is free to this iconic British museum.

On Thursday 22 June, join in celebrating the Royal Northern College of Music's 50th birthday, a milestone honouring its rich history and embracing the present and future of musical excellence. Góbéfest, Manchester's annual festival of Eastern European music, dance, food, and drink, returns on Friday 23 June for a two-day celebration. Cathedral Gardens hosts stages with diverse performances, while the food market offers a culinary adventure. Family activities include dance classes and workshops. Góbéfest unites cultures, creating a vibrant celebration of Eastern European heritage.

From Sunday 23 July join Lloyd of the Flies at RHS Garden Bridgewater. Guests can embark on an adventure with Lloyd and his insect friends in the luxury bug hotel.
