Morning

Whether you’re a die-hard football fan or on a weekend break to the great city of Manchester, enjoy the National Football Museum where you can delve into the social history and culture of the much-loved sport, with fascinating objects and changing exhibitions showing how football became the game of our lives.
Afternoon
The best way to get to know the city is a guided walking tour, so on your first afternoon join one of Manchester’s guided walking tours.
Join one of three Walkabout tours, put together by experienced tour guides, they show a unique side to the city. Be chilled to the core with ghoulish tales on the Ghost Walkabout, discover the city’s most treasured traditional pubs and the history behind them with the Pub Walkabout, or travel through the city’s lyrical legacy with a Music Walkabout, taking in the many venues and locations that have formed part of the city’s musical story.
Get acquainted with one of the city’s favourite neighbourhoods, filled with independent eateries and boutiques, as you delve into the hidden history of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The street art tour offers a personal insight into the history and stories behind the artworks that are on the walls, and sometime quite literally on the streets.
To see a bit more of the city and rest your legs you can join a tour by bus. Discover the city’s heritage and how it has grown to be the progressive hub it is today with a 90 minute loop bus tour taking you round some of the key Manchester sights.
Evening
Manchester is at the heart of England’s gin revolution so spend the early evening at our leading distillery with a tour and tasting at the Spirit of Manchester Distillery, the home of award-winning Manchester Gin. Here you can enjoy a tour to give you an insight into distillery life and see first-hand what goes into making one of the most awarded gins in the country. On your second day in Manchester explore a little further afield and head out into Greater Manchester. Choose from some of our top attractions:
Head out of the city centre to explore the magnificent garden in the heart of Salford. Opened in May 2021, RHS Bridgewater is the first new garden for the RHS in almost twenty years. Discover the Walled Garden, Chinese Garden, Kitchen Garden, and acres of woodland, plus many more unique spaces, meaning you can enjoy the gardens all year round. There are daily departures of the express bus from Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly train stations. Travel aboard the express bus service direct to the RHS garden entrance in around 25 minutes.
Finish the day with a beer tour from Craft Beer Tour Manchester
