Autumn in Manchester
The nights may be drawing in, but there’s no shortage of Autumn events in Manchester. As another summer comes to an end in the city, Manchester’s Albert Square turn into a ‘little Spanish oasis’ for Festejar Spanish Festival. With live bands, Spanish food, and dancing lessons, Festejar is a must to see out the final summer sun.
For something a little bit different, Bury’s world famous Black Pudding Throwing Championships takes place in September, where competitors aim to knock down as many Yorkshire Puddings as possible with an underarm throw of a black pudding. For those who prefer to eat food rather than throw it, Autumn has some fantastic food and drink events including Manchester’s Food and Drink Festival, Indy Man Beer Con, and Manchester Oktoberfest.
Halloween in the City is Manchester’s spookiest festival, featuring trick or treat trails, our famous buildings lit up green, pumpkin patches, and a Day of the Dead-style parade, get the family dressed up and head into the city.. if you dare.
