Day 1 - Morning - Luxury labels on King Street, Exchange Square and The Avenue
If high-end, exclusive labels are required, King Street, Exchange Square and The Avenue will not disappoint. Find Vivienne Westwood, Diesel and Agent Provocateur on the tree-lined King Street.
Selfridges and Harvey Nichols designer department stores grace Exchange Square.
The Avenue is Manchester’s newest shopping district, home to international collections from Armani, Mulberry, Calvin Klein and Flannels.
Day 1 - Lunch suggestions
Grill on the Alley – Quality steaks, burgers & seafood. Wide range of cocktails.
Sam’s Chop House - The best for classic and contemporary British cuisine in the city. Dishes such as Corned Beef Hash and homemade steak and kidney puddings will tickle the taste buds whilst the interior is warm and welcoming.
Day 1 - Afternoon - Manchester Arndale & Market Street
Right at the city’s heart, Manchester Arndale and Market Street offer the perfect Mancunian mix of popular and cool. It’s where high street favourites Topshop and Next rub shoulders with edgy brands like Zara, Hollister and Guess. Watch out for winter and summer sale seasons offering bargains galore!
Day 1 - Dinner suggestions
Chaophraya - Offering royal Thai cuisine in fine dining surroundings, Chaophraya brings the essence of Thailand to Manchester. Enjoy a number of authentic gourmet dishes and personal service at this ever popular eastern haven. Their banquets come highly recommended.
Australasia – Modern Australian cuisine combines Pacific Rim flavour with strong European foundation and a blend of Indonesian and Southeast Asian influences. Australasia offers amazing cuisine and relaxed atmosphere.
Day 2 - intu Trafford Centre
Located just a few miles from the city centre, intu Trafford Centre has over 200 designer and high street stores including Selfridges, John Lewis and M&S. There are leisure attractions to suit all ages including a cinema, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE. With over 60 restaurants, you will be spoilt for dining choice.
Day 2 - Dinner suggestions
Sapporo Teppanyaki – A truly unique dining experience lets you watch as talented chefs entertain you with the theatrics of teppanyaki style cooking. Choose from juicy steaks, mouth-watering noodles, the freshest seafood and more
Zouk – The secret of Zouk’s success lies in offering an innovative menu including Asian dishes along with African, Arabian and many other international cuisines plus fish dishes and traditional steaks using Halal meat. Great for families.
Rosso Restaurant – Housed in a 114-year old, Grade II listed building, Rosso is steeped in history. Owned by Manchester United football player Rio Ferdinand, Rosso offers the ultimate in Italian cuisine, sumptuous, stylish and simple.
Day 2 - Evening suggestions
Cloud 23 Bar - Spectacular views of Manchester from the 23rd floor of Beetham Tower, Manchester’s tallest building. The range of cocktails and drinks can be enjoyed along with the amazing views through the floor-to-ceiling windows from this landmark.
The Alchemist on New York Street - With a mind-blowing list of amazing concoctions, the Alchemist became the talk of the town when it opened. The imaginative team of mixologists have been wowing customers ever since, with drinks such as the White Cosmo, the Mad Hatters Tea Party and the delectable Maple Manhattan
