Brenda and Severine met in 2009 whilst working at a community garden centre in Manchester. They soon decided to test their friendship with a new business venture: a Bud was formed. They found the perfect bijou site in Burnage, previously a garden centre and accessible by public transport. Both are qualified and experienced (not to mention obsessive) gardeners, concerned with the impact of gardening on the environment, and dedicated to organic growing methods.
They aim to:
- To encourage creative planting and gardening, and a care for the environment through sustainable practices.
- To provide a range of gardening products suitable for organic gardening.
- Trade with customers and suppliers in a fair and sustainable way.
- Seek responsible suppliers to provide quality plants, grown in a sustainable way. They welcome enquiries from experienced gardeners in the local area who can raise peat free plants for the garden centre and are keen to trade with businesses and organisations with social and environmental aims. Please contact them if you require more information.
