Opened in 1928, Cholton Park is situated less than four miles from the city centre and attracts over 30,000 visitors a year. Recent improvements include the installation of new furniture and completion of a multi-function area which will serve tennis clubs and players, ready for the new floodlit tennis courts which are due for development this year.
Cholton Park prides itself on its community links. The partnership that exists between the park wardens and The Friends of Cholton Park has been invaluable in ensuring that the whole community enjoys the park's excellent facilities which include: Bowls Pavilion and enclosed Bowling Green, Children's Playground for Junior and Under 5s, Basketball Court, 5 a-side Football Areas, Junior Pitches and a dog free zone.
