You’ll find brown tourist signposts to both ‘Liverpool waterfront’ and ‘Albert Dock’ from the M62; if you’re coming from Wirral via the M53, head northbound from Ellesmere Port, through the Wallasey (Kingsway) Tunnel. Merge onto Scotland Road as you leave, and turn right at the lights, following signs for ‘Liverpool waterfront’ or ‘Albert Dock’.
Visitors arriving on the A41 through Birkenhead should follows signs for the Queensway Tunnel, which will in turn signpost you to the Dock and waterfront.
You’ll find parking on site at the Albert Dock, plus supplementary car parks at both Liverpool ONE and ACC Liverpool.
If you’re using sat nav, use the postcode L3 4AA.
On foot:
Albert Dock is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street, Liverpool’s mainline station, through Liverpool ONE. You can also reach us on foot from either the Museum of Liverpool and Cruise Liner terminal, or ACC Liverpool.
By train:
If you don’t fancy the 20-minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street, our mainline station, you can transfer to Merseyrail at Lime Street, which takes you to James Street Station, just a five minute walk from the Albert Dock.
By bus:
The C4, C5 and City Link services stop at Albert Dock; the Liverpool ONE bus station is just opposite us too, where services in and out of the city centre start and finish.
By coach:
The Albert Dock has designated coach short-stay pick-up/drop-off points located at the stops on Salthouse Quay, near Albert Gate (close to the Pump House public house), and at Gower Street.
For longer stays, the nearest coach park is a 24-hour pay and display coach parking area located at the nearby King's Waterfront, adjacent to the Arena and Convention Centre (ACC) Liverpool.
Note for drivers: Albert Dock estate has a one way system in place for coaches, which should enter the estate via Albert Gate (opposite the Hilton Hotel). Gower Street Gate is for coach exit only (not entry).
