Already described as delivering ‘a whopping amount of family friendliness’ by Kids in Museums, the charity dedicated to making museums welcoming to all families, The Lowry has gone one better by launching The Lookout - a brand new free-to-use family activity space for kids of all ages.
The Lookout is open everyday (Sun-Fri 11am to 5pm, Sat 10am to 5pm) and provides a dedicated space for under 5s to curl up with a book or play some games, while older children can be inspired by the glorious views of the Quays to test their drawings skills.
The Lookout also boasts a rolling programme of free activities for families to enjoy including:
Under 5s First Steps: In this fun session, little ones can explore their creativity as they wriggle, jiggle and jump as we explore stories, rhythm and music through their bodies.
Saturday Playhouse: A range of exciting activities for budding artists and their families – something brand new to do every time.
Ballroom Sunday: A ballroom dancing workshop and tea dance – the perfect day out for the whole family.
