Most popular walks:
Scafell Pike - Scafell Pike is England's highest mountain and war memorial. It has invariably been described as exhilarating, beautiful and breath-taking. When you visit, it won’t take long for you to discover the beauty and romanticism of the great mountain. The view from the top, has inspired writers such as Wordsworth, Coleridge, Baines and Wainwright as, on a clear day, you can see Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and the Isle of Man!
Snowdon - Snowdon. Wales’ highest mountain dominates the skyline of North West Wales. Perhaps something is calling you to conquer this 1,085 metre (3,560 feet) peak. Maybe it’s on your bucket list, or you’re doing it for charity. Or you just fancy seeing the views from the top. Whatever the reason you will not be disappointed!
Catbells - is one of our smaller Lake District walks. But what it lacks in height it gains in atmosphere and pure stunning views! It sits just above Derwent water and is close to the much-loved Keswick. From Cat Bells we will head down to the surrounding woodland meeting the water, an equally beautiful space, but slightly less known (and less people). Before descending into Borrowdale Valley, and back to the bus.
Helvellyn Via Striding Edge - This walk holds some of the most beautiful views in England, Striding Edge is a steep craggy ridge that follows up to the summit. If you’re looking for a bit of a scramble and have a head for heights this walk is perfect for you. Sitting high above the surrounding mountains Helvellyn gives you beautiful views 360 degrees round. It's the 3rd highest point in England!
FAQs
Can I join on my own? Travelling solo?
Our groups are made up of mainly solo walkers so it’s a great atmosphere to meet new people while completing a great challenge.
I’ve never been hiking before?
We are built for beginners, our professional mountain guides will be with you every step of the way. We grade our walks from very easy, such as gentle Lake District walks to difficult more challenging high mountains such as Scafell Pike.
What kit do I need?
For most walks, we recommend walking shoes/boots and waterproofs as a minimum, but check out our full kit-list here: https://www.bee-adventures.co.uk/kit-list
How fit do I need to be?
This is a question we are asked a lot, and it’s a fair question. Simply put, we are NOT a fitness/challenge type of group. You just need to be able to walk at a normal pace for 3-8 hours depending on the hike you book. We include plenty of breaks. We are in the mountains to enjoy them, not flash past them.
