The Stadium
Leigh Sports Village is home to Manchester United Women and Leigh Centurions Rugby League team. It holds 12,000 fans and is a venue for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. There are numerous pay and display car parks situated in Leigh town centre, approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk from the stadium. In addition, a significant number of spaces will be available on Pennington Flash which is only a 10 minute walk from the stadium.
Public transport
For those travelling by public transport, Leigh bus station is situated in the town centre and is served with regular connections from Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington and St. Helens. The bus station is a 10-minute walk from the stadium, or alternatively the 597 bus service, operated by South Lancs Travel, runs directly from the bus station to the stadium. The Vantage V1 bus service is the best and quickest way to travel from Central Manchester to Leigh Sports Village.
Train
The nearest train stations are Atherton (4.2miles), Newton-le-Willows (5.3miles) and Wigan North Western on the West Coast mainline (7.9miles).
