British weather always makes open air theatre a risky business, but Heartbreak Productions has never failed to provide a unique experience to their audiences. Come enjoy the lovely setting of Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens in Didsbury and take in one of these timeless tales.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen | 19 - 20 July
One of Britain’s best loved romances re-told Heartbreak style. Please join us, the Bennet sisters, and a host of charming young bachelors (yes, Mr Darcy will be there. No really, yes, that Mr Darcy) for an evening of comedy, romance, and more than one come-uppance.
The Railway Children by Edith Nesbit | 17 – 19 August
Living by the railway line, the children spend quite a bit of time watching the trains and making some unexpected friendships. There is the old gentleman who regularly takes the 9.15 train and helps them solve the mystery of what happened to their father, and the Russian immigrant who teaches them that compassion and understanding cross all boundaries.

“The wonder with Heartbreak is how they do so much with so little. Just five actors in this show played 20 parts. The company’s whole summer tour will take in nearly 90 venues and hundreds of shows, and they have four plays to offer. If this performance is anything to go by, they’re in for one of their most successful seasons yet. The acting, direction and script were all pin sharp, and the cast received a full-throated standing ovation from the enraptured audience.” – Nick LeMesurier The Leamington Courier
