MediaCity and The Quays

MediaCity & The Quays is an iconic waterfront destination positioned on the banks of the historic Manchester Ship Canal, in Salford, Greater Manchester.

It’s a place bursting with creativity and culture, boasting one of the UK’s most visited arts attractions - Lowry and award-winning Imperial War Museum North. It’s home to the BBC and Coronation Street’s famous cobbled set and experience, while dock10 attracts TV show audiences all year round thanks to the many shows filmed here including The Voice and Countdown.

Expect a vibrant bar and restaurant scene including Quayside’s new Central Bay waterfront foodie destination – home to Kargo MKT, which champions up and coming culinary talent and with 20 independent kitchens makes it one of the largest food halls in the area neighbouring 11 Central a brand new microbrewery and bar. Across MediaCity & The Quays, there is a choice of popular names including wagamama, The Botanist, The Alchemist to Turtle Bay and Pizza Express. As well as the thriving food and drink scene, you can find a mix of high street brands and convenience-led stores within Quayside MediaCity.

MediaCity & The Quays’ wide, open spaces enables it to host an eclectic roster of events from immersive art installations to family orientated festivals. It’s easy to access too - located just 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre with fantastic transport links and three dedicated Metrolink stations (the biggest rail system in the UK) means it couldn’t be easier.

Getting To MediaCity and The Quays

You can get to The Quays in 15 minutes from Manchester City Centre by using the Metrolink trams. Use the Eccles line which stops at 'Salford Quays' or the Trafford Centre line which stops at the Imperial War Museum North.
