If you’re looking for a way to get around Manchester whilst keeping fit, why not hire a bicycle for your time in the city. Manchester is bike-friendly with many marked cycle lanes and dedicated routes throughout the city centre and beyond.
Bee Network Cycle Hire (Starling Bank Bikes)
Transport for Greater Manchester, in partnership with Manchester, Salford and Trafford councils, launched Greater Manchester’s first publicly operated, self-service cycle hire scheme in November 2021.
The scheme continues to expand across the city-region, with cycle hire stations located across Manchester, Salford and Trafford, all within a short walking distance of one another, ensuring people are never more than a 5-minute walk away from a bicycle. A fleet of bikes, including e-bikes, is available to hire via a mobile app, offering an affordable and convenient way to travel.
More information can be found on the Bee Network website.
