Didsbury Bicycle Hire is a community-based bicycle hire company from Manchester with a difference. Offering bicycle picnic hamper packages, the combination of Retro-styled Pashley bicycles, locally-sourced seasonal picnic hampers, soft woolen picnic blankets, Roberts Revival portable leather radios, fresh flowers and other accessories are put together to create special gourmet packages that allow you to explore the cuisine from some of Manchester’s finest eateries and food shops to celebrate your special day in style.

Whether it’s a wedding proposal, engagement, anniversary, special date, birthday, hen do, stag do, baby shower or baby reveal to plan for, they can work closely with you to tailor make your bicycle picnic package with unique finishing touches. So if it’s the message on the mini chalkboards or the colour of the velvet ribbon attaching the helium balloons to the back of the saddle you want to specify, they can cater to your requirements.  In particular on this point is their range of bespoke detachable flower arrangements, which come as garlands wrapped around the frame and ding-dong bell, to large bouquets secured to the front baskets- which can be kept fresh for up to two weeks after with regular watering.

So get your glad rags on and pedal your way around the famous South Manchester parklands, which offer a wealth of different landscapes, perfect for exploring during your Pashley bike hire experience.  From bumping down the cobbled hill of the Fletcher Moss Park and Botanical Gardens towards the ancient pasture lands where Friesian cows still graze, to the gentle BOCK! of the tennis balls as they’re batted across the court nets in the background at Fog Lane park, throw down your picnic blanket in the wild grass meadows near the rugged river banks, crack open the drinks and have yourself a truly quintessentially English afternoon before rounding off your day with a browse along the main rows of independent boutique shops and bars of Burton Road and Beech Road, which are only ever a stone’s throw away.

From partnerships with local independent businesses to supporting British Industry and employment, they have a fleet made up of only Pashley bicycles, which are still to this day made in the original Stratford-Upon-Avon factory.  All of their bicycles are dressed with leather saddles made by another UK cycling manufacturer called Brooks, who still have leather workshops based in the arches underneath Victoria Train Station in Manchester City Centre. 

Available to hire in all different styles, sizes and colours throughout the full rainbow spectrum, this very Instagramable range of British bicycles promises to offer something for everyone.
