2. Jim Steinman has sold more than 190 million records worldwide, topped the charts in 38 countries with the sequel Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell and is the only person in the Top 20 Albums of All Time to have written the music and lyrics of all songs.

3. Meat Loaf performed his first Bat Out of Hell UK gig in Manchester, making the arrival of Jim Steinman’s musical at the Manchester Opera House even more significant. As the producer David Sonenberg said “England really embraced the music and the Bat Out of Hell album was in the charts for a very long time, so it was only right for BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL to open in Manchester”. If you’re going to see this show then Manchester is definitely the place to do it!

4. The creative team behind BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL have devised an amazing visual show featuring some epic lighting, choreography and set-design that is sure to be unlike anything the Manchester Opera House has ever seen before. 

5. The Bat Out of Hell album was originally written as a musical making the songs a perfect fit for a fantastic cast on such a huge stage. The show will also feature 2 Jim Steinman original songs.

6. This is the only opportunity to see BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL outside of London with the cast performing a limited run at the Manchester Opera House.

7. The show features 199 costumes made up of 500 square feet of leather and 300 metres of dyed silk, latex and sequined fabric, all of which have been hand made by German costume designer Meentje Nielsen and will look amazing on stage.

8. The creative team have between them 1 Oscar, 2 Grammys, 4 Olivier awards, 2 Tony awards, 2 Drama Desk Awards and an OBE.
