Traditionally celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day, Palentine or Galentine’s day this year will fall on a Monday. So we’ve listed some events that fall around Palentine’s Day and can be the perfect way to celebrate.
The Girls Bathroom Live at Bridgewater Hall
Chart-topping podcast The Girls Bathroom from Sophia & Cinzia is coming to Manchester just in time for Galentine’s Day. Surely that’s no coincidence? Bridgewater Hall will be filled with girl chat and gossip which is exactly what Galentine’s Day calls for in our book. Sophia and Cinzia will try to help girls across Greater Manchester with their dilemmas from relationship dramas, dating advice and even career talks. Forget what you thought you knew about bingo as On Bar on Canal Street has given Britain’s favourite game a sassy twist at their Buff Bingo Bottomless Brunch. Grab your pals and head down to this crazy bottomless brunch party hosted by local queens from the Family Gorgeous. Plus, buff butlers will be on serving duty for a cheeky twist. Enjoy a delicious brunch menu, nibbles and 1.5 hours of bottomless prosecco or mimosas. Puppy Yoga
This Palentine’s Day, it’s all about Puppy Love. Who needs a date this Valentine’s weekend if you can have your best friends and puppies? Paw Yoga provides an hour of complete happiness, relaxation and the cutest puppies in town. For a Palentine’s Day Celebration with a twist, why not enjoy the cutest yoga ever? Each class is an hour long and consists of 30 minutes of yoga with puppies roaming around and then, most importantly, 30 minutes for designated puppy cuddles. The Ladies of Laughter are back and flexing their female funny muscles in this event designed for everyone to enjoy. With guaranteed hilarity and comics that will leave you in stitches, there’s no better way to forget your troubles. So gather your girls, bring together the lads or whoever you’re spending Palentine’s Day with and get ready for some side-splitting comedy. Showcasing some of Salford’s best local creative talent you’ll hear comedy sets, get to view local artists' work, enjoy music from BBC Introducing’s Roesh and be able to enjoy street food as well as drinks from Seven Bro7hers and Four Sis4ers gin pop up. There’s also a chance to get crafty. The event will be hosted by BBC Radio Manchester’s David Scott (aka ARGH KiD) and is free to attend., tickets are available here.
