The Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford is a four-star hotel at the home of Lancashire Cricket. With 150 bedrooms, 80 of which are pitch-facing with balconies, the hotel offers the perfect setting for a festive overnight stay.

If you’re visiting the Christmas markets, why not make a weekend of it and stay at the award-winning hotel and soak up the breath-taking views on your own balcony.

For the evening celebrations, unwind at the Garden Grille restaurant and bar with a festive espresso martini or a bottle of wine and indulge in our Christmas menu, which takes inspiration from the seasonality of ingredients during the festive season and is packed full of unique flavour combinations, designed to delight diners of all ages.

Guests can choose from a mouth-watering variety of dishes to get them into the festive spirit, including grilled black pudding with new potatoes, confit salmon with squash and chorizo risotto and goats cheese and fig parcels.

For the main, choose from a tender pan fried sea bass with braised lentils, a hearty pave rump steak or the traditional turkey dinner.

And, for those with a sweet tooth, enjoy one of the famous Belgian waffles with maple syrup and cinnamon sugar or a refreshing lemon and ginger cheesecake.

Liam Rutherford, Head Chef, said: “I’m delighted that the new menu is launching. I wanted to combine big flavours with real, seasonal ingredients as I’m passionate about giving our diners a memorable culinary experience.

“I think there’s something for everyone on the menu, whether you’re after the traditional Christmas dinner or want something with a festive twist.”

Rutherford joined the team in 2018, with a view to refresh the menus and transform the food offering at the hotel and in turn, create a destination eatery.

Rutherford continued: “I craft my menus with our guests in mind – if they try a dish they’ve never had before and like it, it’s really rewarding to know that I’ve helped create a positive impression and they may go on to try it again.”

And, for the morning after, tuck into a freshly prepared, cooked-to-order breakfast the morning after. Whether you prefer your eggs sunny side up or a delicious stack of pancakes, there’s something for everyone – don’t forget that kids eat free!

The hotel also includes a Caffè Nero so you can snuggle up with a hot chocolate, and a resident’s gym to so you can work off some of the moreish festive grub.

Situated just three miles from the city, the hotel is ideally located to escape the hustle and bustle and unwind after a festive day of shopping. With over 600 free parking spaces and a Metrolink stop directly behind the hotel, you can be in and out of the city centre within ten minutes.
