1. Join The Tiger Who Came to Tea trail at Tatton Park
  

Head to Tatton Park this weekend and discover Judith Kerr’s beloved book characters. Mog the Forgetful Cat is at Tatton along with The Tiger Who Came to Tea for some fun activities, including meeting piglets and chicks, playing in Sophie’s kitchen, and dressing up. Tickets from £2; standard entry fees apply. 
 

2. Pop-up theatre comes to East Manchester festival  
 

From 10 to 19 August, Royal Exchange brings its mobile theatre The Den to the East Manchester Academy. The East Manchester Community Festival will host a plethora of workshops, including music, dance, poetry, and photography. This family-friendly event will also see plenty of stalls, with delicious local food. Admission to the festival is free, with bookings from £1. 
 

3. Visit Stretford Art Fair and support a local charity  
 

Stretford Public Hall will be home to an art fundraising event this Saturday, 19 August. The Stretford Art Fair will run from 10AM until 4PM with many North West based artists setting up stalls to sell their unique, handcrafted items. Tickets from £1.50, with profits going towards the opening of new arts space, Neighbourhood Gallery, in South Manchester. 
 

4. Discover Planet Earth and the universe beyond at Jodrell Bank 
 

Jodrell Bank has two new, fun, educational Summer Dome shows. Visitors can discover the origins of the universe in animated, immersive show We are Stars and learn how we can all help protect our planet with spectacular planetarium show We are Guardians. Tickets are £4/£6, available as an add-on to general admission. 
 

5. Experience a 4D dream world at LEGOLAND 
 

4D movie ‘Z-Blob Rescue Rush’ is at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre! Using the power of imagination, children become superheroes in this exciting journey through the dream realm. In this special LEGO DreamZzz event, visitors can participate in dream creature hunts, build activities, and exclusive giveaways. Tickets included with admission to venue. 
 

New opening: Onda Pasta Bar 
 

Having opened earlier this year in Exhibition, Onda Pasta Bar has now moved to The New Cross for a 12-month residency. Serving up classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, you can find favourites like Spaghetti Carbonara and Pappardelle as well as rotating specials. With a new menu started just last week, Onda is open from Thursday to Sunday.
