1. Step into the British woodlands in a new immersive experience 

A new experience has now opened at one of the UK’s most popular zoos. ‘Native’, a 360 immersive exhibition of British wildlife, is the only of its kind in the country and is currently on show at Chester Zoo. Featuring stunning scenic shots of the coastlines and woodlands of the British Isles, visitors will see footage of some their favourite animals, including dolphins, Scottish wildcats and many more. Entry into exhibition is free with zoo admission. 

2. Discover the talent of Manchester students at Manchester Craft and Design Centre 

From the minds and hands of Manchester School of Art students, a new exhibition is now on display at Northern Quarter’s treasure trove, Manchester Craft and Design Centre. The Material Journeys exhibition, curated by the centre, showcases a collection of works from promising Manchester students which include hand-built ceramics, glass pieces and metal vessels. On until Saturday, 30 March, the exhibition is free to visit. 

3. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! ABBA at the Opera House 

Take a chance on this acclaimed tribute band and enjoy an evening of some of the world’s biggest hits. 1974: The ABBA Tribute Show will be at Opera House Manchester for one night only on 1 February, to perform favourites including Mamma Mia and The Winner Takes It All in an original style. 4. Celebrate local artists at HOME 

The biennial celebration of Greater Manchester’s creative talent is back from 3 February to 28 April with over 400 pieces of art by local artists. Manchester Open 2024 is taking over the ground floor gallery at HOME, the space filled with paintings, prints, sculptures, and digital and mixed media works by new and emerging talent. Admission to the exhibition is free. 

5. Put on your neon tutus and join a 5k walk with The Christie Charity 

An annual charity walk will be lighting up Salford Quays in bright colours again on Saturday, 3 February. Night of Neon, organised by The Christie Charity, will mark World Cancer Day by getting the community together to walk 5k around Salford Quays, with the event village opening at 6.30pm at the Lowry Plaza where you will get a free neon t-shirt, glow wristband and Neon finishers medal by joining Team Christie. Book Now: The Eagles bring their final tour to Co-op Live 

Having kicked off their final tour in July 2023, the Eagles have now announced a five-show residency on what is to be the UK’s biggest indoor arena. The only shows in the UK leg of the tour, will see the band take over Co-op Live between 31 May and 8 June 2024. The legendary rock band will perform their fans favourite tunes, including ‘Hotel California’ and ‘Take it Easy’ as part of ‘The Long Goodbye Tour’ and will be joined by fellow Hall of Fame inductees Steely Dan who celebrate their own 50+ year career.
